Fokofpolisiekar – Antibiotika Campaign

October 5th, 2011 · ADVERTISING, ANIMATION, ANIMERTS, CAMPAIGN, CD COVER ARTWORK, CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT, DIGITAL, DIRECTING, DVD DESIGN, EDITING, ILLUSTRATION, LIMITED EDITION, MUSIC VIDEO, PHOTOGRAPHY, PHOTOSHOP, PRINT DESIGN, PRINTS, T-SHIRTS, TV COMMERCIAL

This was one of my favorite campaigns I did for Fokofpolisiekar. In the months to come while I am working in Prague I plan to do an overview of every campaign I have done with Fokofpolisiekar and hopefully I can build a full database for the fans to check out.

We also completed a small animert TV spot for the release. The paint you see falling here is the same paint that made up the images for inside the album cover. The photo on the front cover was the mess we made in studio creating these artworks.

And the last piece of the puzzle and possibly my favorite the music video for the track ‘Antibiotika’, directed by Sean Metelerkamp.

Sanca: See the Problem

October 4th, 2011 · ADVERTISING, CAMPAIGN, CHARITY, CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT, PHOTOGRAPHY, PHOTOSHOP, PRESS, PRINT DESIGN

A print campaign I finished recently for the South African Narcotics Counseling Association. The line simply reads “If you can see the problem, speak to us” and was proceeded by the toll free number of Sanca. The basic idea is that the drug abuse paraphernalia in the shot is subtle enough that if you have never used it, you would not be able to see the problem, the secondary message is that before counseling can begin it’s important that users acknowledge that they have a problem. The call to action was simply to speak to a counselor via the toll free number.

Wimpy: Epic Print Advert

July 20th, 2011 · ADVERTISING, CAMPAIGN, CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT, PHOTOSHOP, PRINT DESIGN

A pretty straight forward print advert I did for the Wimpy Epic XL burger range. With the current gourmet burger war that has swept the country, it was important that the advert focused on the size but also gave the reader an idea of the taste. We went for taste testing on this particular range, the blokes from the agency just kept describing it as Epic. Hence the name EpicXL.

Wimpy: Epic Web Banner

July 20th, 2011 · ADVERTISING, ANIMATION, AWARD WINNER, CAMPAIGN, CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT, DIGITAL, Uncategorized, WEB DESIGN

How do you show exactly how big a burger is?

HelloComputer created an interactive banner that works with your webcam to see if your mouth can handle the Wimpy Epic XL. Using custom-designed facial recognition software to detect teeth (as opposed to conventional FRS which only picks up the eyes and nose) the banner allows the user to interact using an actual ‘biting’ action.

To dramatise the experience, they threw in a fish-eye lens effect that activated at the precise moment of radial recognition. You can see a video below shot by HelloComputer.

This one a Bronze Loerie at the 2011 Loerie Awards.

The second interactive banner follows the outdoor and print executions based on the line “A burger to epic for this…”.
